Out of the love for the Lord Jesus Christ and possessing the desire of a driven commitment to minister to the children of the church and as an outreach ministry to the families of the community, Rainbow Promise Preschool was established in 1990. They began to serve their mission; the inescapable mandate of our Lord Jesus Christ, go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you, and lo, I am with you always, even to end of the age, Amen (Matthew 28:19-20).

During the early formative years of operation, the mission and foundational policies were established for the operation the preschool and were based on the Biblical concepts of being prosperous in serving and outreaching to the community. After a year and a half of operating with little enrollment which was not generating enough tuition income to cover the expenses, the preschool was in danger of closing their doors. To make matters worse, the director’s husband, who the senior pastor of the church at that time, was involved in a tragic construction accident and was suddenly called home to be with the Lord. This tragic accident left the preschool under the leadership of a greiving, despondent, and hurting indivual who had to eventually resign from the director’s position.

In the spring of 1992, the church school board and the newly appointed senior pastor was faced with the decision of either closing the preschool’s doors or seek employment of a new leader who would possess the “God given gifts” that was needed to pursue and fulfill the “Mission” of Rainbow Promise Preschool and Daycare Center and First Christian Church.

That was almost 20 years ago, through the supernatural power and guidance of the Holy Spirit, that new leader of Rainbow Promise received a divine vision and was instructed to write it down ( Habakkuk 2:2-3) sealing it with ‘His” promise that, I could do all things through Christ who strengthens me (Philippines 4:13) That promise inspired that poetic insight into a reality. As “His” vision keeps unfolding with fragments of revealations as to what direction Rainbow Promise needs to adhere to in order to meet “His” objectives and attain “His” goals they are defined by hearing the Word and receiving the Word (Proverbs 4:20-27).

Through discernment and prayers of uncompomising faith, Rainbow Promise’s imaginations have become a reality as God’s words continue to be the breath of life in teaching “His Truth” (Psalm 32:8). Building “His Kingdom”today for Tomorrow’s Legacy” has been accomplished through prayer, praise, and worship, and discipling a Spirit-filled team in a Spirit-led environment for His glory only through living faith, the substance of things hoped, for the evidence of things not seen (Hebrews 11:1).
